The Parish Nurse has office hours on Tuesdays from 8:30 - 12:30. You are welcome to make an appointment and speak with her confidentially about your concern. She can make referrals to local clinics and other medical services.
Each month, the Health Cabinet offers a
health event to the Immanuel community. In the past this has included
healing services on Sundays, diabetes and blood pressure screenings,
flu shots, heart health information and parenting classes.
The Health Cabinet, which is made of church and community members, provides support and direction for the Parish Nurse.

The purpose of the Health Cabinet
is to educate our congregation and community, to
seek and to
promote
health in all its aspects as part of seeing ourselves and others as holy temples.

Educate:
Train and equip ourselves and our community to make
healthy lifestyle choices and to advocate for people within the health care system |

Seek:
Network with other health and community resources; connect with people within the church and the community;
identify resources and financial support for our work |

Promote:
Present health fairs, offer classes - like parenting, exercise... |
We invite members of Immanuel and the community to take responsibility for their health - physically, emotionally, relationally and spiritually.
Anyone is welcome to make a free appointment with the Parish Nurse. She can then make the connection for additional care, if necessary.
The Health Cabinet's health fairs and educational events are open to the Immanuel Family and the Wilshire Community.
